Part Time IT Buyer/Purchasing Manager
Chippenham, Wiltshire
Up to £25,000 per annum pro rata
Flexible on days and hours worked
20 hours per week
Driving licence required
Our client is an established, innovative, market leading Information and Communications Technology (ICT) and Business Support Company, with offices across the UK.
They are recruiting a strong IT Buyer to sit within the Procurement Department part time for 20 hours per week to be responsible for the purchasing of goods and services
Responsibilities will include:-
Supporting the Principal Buyer
Understand the strategic purchasing requirements and deliver value adding services
Source new suppliers and agree pricing and supply terms.
Manage key suppliers in accordance with a supplier management process.
Negotiate, draft and conclude contractual terms with suppliers.
Assist Principal Buyer as directed.
Bid support including identifying suppliers, concluding supply terms and requesting and receiving of pricing proposals.
Contribute to the plans for strategic purchasing
Therefore the successful candidate will be required to have the following essential experience:
Proven experience within the IT business
Demonstrable experience as a Buyer
Strong experience within purchasing and supply (ideally CIPS qualified)
Ability to plan and negotiate prices and contract terms with suppliers
