In this role as Lead Customer Quality Engineer for Cummins Daventry, you will provide a contact point for OEM customers for technical/quality related issues found on Daventry supply engines and parts. You will report directly into the Quality Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Instigate, manage and measure corrective action activities across all areas of the plant
Develop, produce and distribute monthly performance results
Managing the Customer Quality Assurance team to achieve required standards
Manage administration/attendance within the team
Reporting of Quality information both within plant and to customers
Build an effective team through lead, manage and coach principles
Ensure customer reported defects are resolved using prescribed quality tools
Ensure key customer communications are completed to the required standard
Conducting regular corrective action review meetings and driving correct behaviour
Skills and Experience Required:
Preferably HNC or Equivalent in Electrical/mechanical Engineering
Extensive engineering experience in manufacturing/quality environment
Good PC skills - especially Exel and Lotus Notes
Data gathering and analysis
Interpersonal skills & good communication both written and verbal
Previous supervisory experience in a team based environment
Process/continuous improvement and or involvement in 6Sigma
Project Management experience
