Customer Service Engineer - Lea Valley/Waltham Cross
11 Month Contract: £21,700 (Pro Rata)

My Client is a leading global communications provider, who is currently seeking Customer Service Engineers to work within the Lea Valley/Waltham Cross region. The Engineer will be responsible for the provision, maintenance and repair of communication network services to end-users on behalf of other communication providers.

You will be trained to work safely on either copper or fibre networks initially and given expert coaching from experienced colleagues to help you find your feet'. You will work as part of a team and be expected to manage your daily work and make decisions without direct supervision. You will also be able to deal effectively with customers and represent the company professionally at all times.
You must be able to demonstrate competency in, and a commitment to, the following:
Key tasks/responsibilities
To carry out hand rodding and D-side cabling within specified limits. Ensure that all work is carried out in compliance within health & safety requirements. Maintain high quality of workmanship standards whilst being as efficient and cost effective as possible. Work as directed and use the systems as the single point of access all Process, Quality, Safety & Compliance information, along with knowledge required to carry out daily tasks.
- Use own discretion to make decisions and take appropriate action to meet the needs of the job whilst complying to processes and procedures.
What you will need to be successful
- Ability to demonstrate behaviours that portray a professional company.
- Excellent communication skills with customers and colleagues.
- Possess basic PC skills.
- Self motivated with aptitude to succeed.
- Ability to work at height and in confined spaces.

Technical Skills
- Trained in the provision and repair of voice & data services to end-user/customer premises and within the exchange frame.
- Detailed knowledge and understanding of network infrastructure use of various systems (eg CSS) and IT software (eg MS Office applications).
- Electrical, engineering or IT hardware experience with the capability to assimilate all technical training provided.

Full driving licence and a flexible approach to working hours are essential to effectively carry out this role.
