Customer Service Product Support Jobs
Roles in Customer Service Product Support will focus on demonstrating the necessary technical and product expertise for the products or services in question and using this knowledge to help customers with queries and issues.
The Customer Service Product Support team may be based in a central processing team, work remotely or even be face-to-face within a retail environment. You will be expected to demonstrate a level of existing knowledge, with roles requiring varying levels of experience and expertise with the product in question. The role may require you to have a broad advisory knowledge, or a more in-depth and specific level of knowledge to handle any technical problems that customers may have.
The crucial element to the Customer Service Product Support role, however, is the focus on customer service. You will need to demonstrate excellent abilities in responding to customer needs, dealing with queries in a friendly and helpful manner, demonstrating the ability to resolve their problems quickly and professionally and ensuring that the customer is left with a positive experience of the company.
You may be supporting the customer on the telephone, online, or face to face. At every stage you will be required to represent the company in the right manner and follow existing processes. You will also be expected to update customer management databases and action follow-ups as necessary.
Skills required for a Customer Service Product Support role include excellent communication skills, good technical expertise - or the ability to learn well in a junior role, good analytical and problem solving skills, top-notch customer service skills and enthusiasm for helping people.
